Lifeline Rails

We wanted solid lifelines, as they make so much more sense. We had only 3 stanchions left, so, once again, we made everything from scratch.

Using a long, bendy length of PVC tubing, we figured out where the stanchions would have to go, and at what angle they needed to be welded to the deck. We also made a 'gate' on each side of the boat, where it will be easy to get on and off the boat. On one side the gate swings out to open, on the starboard side the gate folds down into a swimladder.

The lifelines are higher than regular lifelines, this way they will actually help keep you on board, instead of helping you fall overboard.

The bowrail was made from hurricane Charlie buckled bow rails. There's a nice seat right at the bow.

At the stern, we made sternrail seats, or more like stern rail benches. We absolutely love them. What a great place to sit. Elliot came up with these great seats and fabricated them from scratch. The actual seat part is starboard with a nice cushion on top.
